James Edwards,67,of 635 McMahon Ave.,Monessen,died Sunday, May 15,1966 at 2:20 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Edwards retired in 1962 from the wire mill of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was born at Albermarie County, Va.,Sept. 2,1898,and had lived in Monessen 35 years. Surviving are two step-children, Arthur Minnie and Mrs. Vivian Rivers,both of Monessen; a sister,Mrs. Eillie Green of Orange,N.J.;eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. His wife, Emma,died April 7,1965. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen, after 7 p.m. May 16. Service there Wednesday,May 18 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Philip L. Green,pastor of the Baptist Church of Connellsville. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
