James Edward Chapman; 48; of Charleroi; died Sunday; Feb. 15; 2004; at his home after a short illness. He was born in Barberton; Ohio; on June 16; 1955; the son of the late Ralph Gail Chapman and Geraldine Rumbaugh Chapman. He was Protestant by faith and retired as a cook from Sonny’s in Arnold City; Belle Vernon. Mr. Chapman was a veteran of the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He also was a member of the Charleroi VFW Post. Mr. Chapman attended Belle Vernon Area High School and received his GED from the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by two daughters; Jamie (Choban) Chapman of Fayette City and Brittney Chapman of Bentleyville; four grandchildren; one sister; Norma Muccino and husband Mario of Monessen; a beloved girl friend; Sally Bachisma of Charleroi; a loving nephew; Edward Pourzenich; a loving niece; Shelly Swiantek and daughter Alexis; and many other nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; and Thursday; Feb. 19; until 1 p.m.; the hour of service. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
