James E.Avery;57;of Fayette Ave.;Fairhope;Belle Vernon;died Saturday;Dec.8;1979;at his home. Born in Washington Township;Fayette County;Oct.23;1922;he was a son of the late Elroy and Agnes Byers Avery. Mr.Avery was a Navy veteran of World War II and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 3557 of Fairhope. He was a retired autoworker with Fisher Body Drovasburg plant. Surviving are a sister;Mrs.Alice Bussier of Tennessee;a sister-in-law;Mrs.Eddie Avery of Grindstone;and several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at 1 p.m.Friday in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home at Fayette City;with Rev.Fred G.Gnatuk officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. There will not be calling hours.
