Obituary

James Edward Armentrout of Belle Vernon R.D.2,died Sunday,March 9,1986,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. He was 81. Mr.Armentrout was born Feb.14,1905,in Davis,W.Va.,a son of the late E.Baxter and May Green Armentrout. He was a retired employee of Monongahela Power Co.,Elkins,W.Va. Mr.Armentrout was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church,Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents,Mr.Armentrout was also preceded in death by a son,Edward James Armmentrout,in 1966. Surviving are his wife,Margaret Harvey Armentrout,two brothers,Robert C.Armentrout of Waverly,Ohio,and Charles H.Armentrout of Fayette City R.D.1,and four sisters,Mrs.Beulah Hickle and Mrs.Frances Kagey,both of Keyer,W.Va.,Mrs.Louise Martin of Nemacolin,Pa.,and Mrs.Irene Morris of Greenville,Tex. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the James C.Stump Funeral Home,Sweeney plan,Rostraver Twp. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m.in the funeral home,with the message being offered by the Rev.Walter Kirkland,pastor,Char-Belle Free Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,assisted by Eugene Spear,lay pastor. Burial will be n Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon,Pa. The James C.Stump Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
