James E. Hood,72,of Moncks Corner, S.C.,formerly of Charleroi,died Saturday, Sept. 18,1976 at 3 p.m. at his home. He was born April 17,1904 in Kingston,Tenn.,a son of the late Wesley and Belle Hood. Mr. Hood was a retired electrician. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Hood,on March 22,1968. Surviving are one son, James L. Hood of Goose Creek, S.C.;one stepson,Eugene Sarinski of Springfield,Va,;two daughters, Mrs. D.C.(Marguerite) Brown of Goose Creek and R.L. (Betty) Perry of Augusta, Ga.; one sister,Mrs. Mary H. Gann of Ringgold, Ga.;nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeal Home,Third St.,and Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,Wedesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 23,1976 at the funeral home,the Rev. Frank A. Bodnar officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
