James E.Britt of Wick Haven;died suddenly at 8 a.m.Tuesday;Sept.2;1975;at his home. He was 56. Born in North Belle Vernon on March 2;1919;he had lived in Wick Haven since 1960. Mr.Britt was a member of the Church of God;Connellsville;and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. He was employed at the Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin. He was preceded in death by his mother;Mary Worrell Britt;a son;William;and brother;John. Surviving are his widow;Rose Porter Britt;five sons;Frank of Monongahela;Charles of Belle Vernon R.D.;Ronald of Perryopolis;James of Elm Grove;W.Va.;and Terry;at home;two daughters;Mrs.Lynn (Shirley) Parshall of Perryopolis R.D.2 and Mrs.Harry (Carol) Stuckslager of Perryopolis;his father;Elmer Britt Sr.of Youngstown;Pa.;one brother;Elmer Jr.of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Emma Book and Mrs.Ella May Owens;both of Belle Vernon;and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m.with Pastor John L.Dunlap of the Church of God;Connellsville;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
