Obituary

James E. Boyer of 420 Forest St.,
Monessen, died Thursday, Dec. 10,
1987, at 5:15 p.m. in Baldock Nursing
Home, Irwin. He was 79.
Mr. Boyer was born Feb. 10,1908,
in Hazelwood, a son of the late Harry
and Bessie Morgart Boyer.
A resident of Monessen most of his
life, he retired in 1967 from the
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel
Monessen plant, where he had worked as a craneman.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War
n, he was preceded in death by a
son, John Boyer, in 1975.
Survivors include his wife, Ann
Honchalk Boyer, two daughters,
Jean Evans and Mrs. Nicholas
(Mary Ellen) Zlatovich, both of
Monessen, two stepdaughters,
Sharon Honsaker of Monessen and
Mrs. Thomas (Mary Anne) McGinty
of New Eagle, three stepsons, Edward Lucas of Middletown, Paul
Lucas of Belle Vernon and James
Lucas, serving with the U.S. Army
in Alabama, two sisters, Goldie
Pearl Otto of Coal Center and Sylvia
Bellman of Irvington, N.J., and 10
grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday
from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.
Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Saturday,Dec.12,at 10 a.m.with Father Patrick O'Connor,pastor of St.Leonard Church of Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangemetns.
