James E. Boyer of 420 Forest St.;
Monessen; died Thursday; Dec. 10;
1987; at 5:15 p.m. in Baldock Nursing
Home; Irwin. He was 79.
Mr. Boyer was born Feb. 10;1908;
in Hazelwood; a son of the late Harry
and Bessie Morgart Boyer.
A resident of Monessen most of his
life; he retired in 1967 from the
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel
Monessen plant; where he had worked as a craneman.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War
n; he was preceded in death by a
son; John Boyer; in 1975.
Survivors include his wife; Ann
Honchalk Boyer; two daughters;
Jean Evans and Mrs. Nicholas
(Mary Ellen) Zlatovich; both of
Monessen; two stepdaughters;
Sharon Honsaker of Monessen and
Mrs. Thomas (Mary Anne) McGinty
of New Eagle; three stepsons; Edward Lucas of Middletown; Paul
Lucas of Belle Vernon and James
Lucas; serving with the U.S. Army
in Alabama; two sisters; Goldie
Pearl Otto of Coal Center and Sylvia
Bellman of Irvington; N.J.; and 10
grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday
from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.
Ferguson Funeral Home; 700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Saturday;Dec.12;at 10 a.m.with Father Patrick O’Connor;pastor of St.Leonard Church of Monessen;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangemetns.
