Obituary

James Cowan,82,of 308 Johnson Ave.,Belle Vernon,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Friday, April 25,1969 at 9:30 a.m. He retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in 1950. A veteran of World War I,he served with His Majesty's Armed Forces in England. Survivors are two daughters,Mrs. Lloyd (Janet) Patterson,of Belle Venron,with whom he made his home,and Mrs. Henry (Mary) Bush of Belle Vernon;three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;two brothers, Harry Cowan of New Bedford,Mass. and Frank Cowan of Scotland. Friends will be received at the harold R.Toner Funeral home,Belle Venron during hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Monday,April 28,at 2 p.m..  Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R.Toner of Belle Vernon is the funeral director.
