James Clarence Maxwell,,81, of Chatham, Pa.,formerly of Allenport,died Saturday morning, April 13,1963, in the Community Memorial Hospital,West grove, Pa. He had resided in the Chatham Acres Convalescent Home the last few years. Mr. Maxwell was born Feb. 21,1882 and was a member of the Methodist Church,Allenport. He was retired from the Allenport Plant of Pitttsburgh Steel Co. 16 years ago. Preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ann O'Neal Maxwell in 1950, he is survived by a son, James C. Maxwell of West Chester,Pa. and one grandchild. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon beginning at 2 p.m.,April 14. Funeral services will be held Monday,April 15,at 1:30 p.m.,from the funeral home with Rev. E.W. Lighthall officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
