James C. Wergin; 61; of Webster; passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday; April 16; 2011; in the emergency room at Monongahela Valley Hospital. A son of the late Russell and Catherine Wilkinson Wergin; he was born Feb. 12; 1950; in Belle Vernon. For many years Jim was the owner of J&W Contracting in Carroll Township. In his spare time he liked to fish and to ride his Harley. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years; Betty Cricket Koster Wergin; two daughters; Roxanne and Jamie Wergin; a son; James Russell Wergin; five grandchildren; Brandon; Ashley; Zachary; Rosa and Lena; one sister; Linda VanAsselt and husband; David; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his brother; Barry. Friends will be received Tuesday; April 19; from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MELENYZER-DUBARR FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES INC.; 825 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi; where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday; April 20; at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
