James B. Welsh Sr of

City died Tuesday;July 5;1977;at 6:45
p.m. in the Waddington
Nursing Home; Fayette City
RD 1 after a lengthy illness.
He was 82.
The son of the late Hiram
and Jennie Campbell Welsh;
he was born in Monongahela
on June 27;1895.
Mr. Welsh had retired from
the Pennsylvania and Lake
Erie Railroad.
He was preceded in death by
his wife Katherine Welsh; in
1970; and by a son; James B.
Welsh Jr in 1974.
Surviving are one son
William Welsh of Belle Vernon;
two daughters; Mrs.
Virginia Miller of Fayette City
and Mrs Eleanor Owens of
Belle Vernon; one step-daughter; Mrs. Garnet Layton
of Fayette City;11 grandchildren
and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at
the Howard W. McCrory
Funeral Home; Fayette City;after 7 p.m.Wednesday. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.at the funeral home with the Rev.Fred G.Gnatuk of Fayette City United Presbyterian Church;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W.McCrory is funeral director in charge.
