James Bayley,aged 88 years,died Saturday,August 3,1935,at 7:30 a.m. at his home in Fairhope,after a lingering illness. He was born in England and for the past eighteen years has been a resident of Fairhope. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Charlton at home,one son, James Bayley,Jr.of Fairhope,and four step-children:Mrs. Robert Brown,Mrs. J.D.Hughes,Mrs. John Staff and David Dunn,all of Webster. Two sisters,Mrs. John Leigh and Mrs. James Barlow,of Providence,R.I.;also survive,along with a brother,Sir John Bayley,of England. Funeral services will be held Tuesday,August 6,at 2 o'clock,from the home,with Rev. Paul Andre,of Webster,officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
