James B. Welsh,Jr.,age 48 years of 702 Speers St.,Belle Vernon,Pa.,died Monday,July 15,1974 at 9:30 p.m. in the Charleroi Division of Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born in Belle Vernon on February 14,1926 and was the son of James B.Welsh,Sr.,Fayette City,and the late Mildred Griffith Welsh. He was an employee of Lee-Norse Co.,Charleroi,and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion. In addition to his father,he is survived by his wife,Beatrix Hough Welsh,a brother,William H. Welsh,Belle Vernon,three sisters,Mrs. Samuel (Virginia) Miller,Fayette City,Mrs. Herbert (Eleanor) Owens,Belle Vernon,and Mrs. Howard (Garnet) Layton,Fayette City, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,until Thursday at 1 p.m.,the hour of service. Rev. Frank B. Garlathy of the Fayette City United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
