The body of the man found in the Monongahela river,Monday afternoon,January 7,1924,was idenfified late Tuesday night as Jacob Riska,aged about 72,a Finlander of near Belle Vernon. Indntification was made at the Crowley morgue in Charleroi by Elizabeth and Ida Matson,sisters,who stated that the man was formerly a boarder in their home. The aged man had been missing since January 2nd from his little shanty at Fairhope,where he resided for the past two years. When he left his home he wrote a farewell note stating that he was going to end his life and that no one need look for him. He was formerly employed as a miner at Arnold City and had made his home about Belle Vernon for the past twenty years. He is survived by a wife and family in Finland and one son,John Riska of Fairhope. The body will be taken to the home of the son,from which place burial services will be held.
