Obituary

Jack I. Wolford, 62, of Belle Vernon, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Feb. 16, 1944, in North Charleroi, a son of Helen Curtis Wolford, who survives and resides in Belle Vernon, and the late Carl Wolford. A veteran, he was a member of the American Legion in Belle Vernon and numerous other social clubs in the Mon Valley area. Mr. Wolford was an employee of U.S. Steel, having worked as a foreman prior to his retirement. He is survived by one son, Jack Wolford and wife Ginger, of South Carolina, two granddaughters, Jessica and Ashley, two brothers, Carl Buzzy Wolford and wife Carol, of Monessen, and Robert Wolford and wife Barbara, of Allenport, four sisters, Dolores Johnson, of Columbus, Ohio, Mona Belczyk and husband Stanley, of Belle Vernon, Toni Evans, of Monessen, and Kathy Fronzagelo, of Bridgeville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, a Golden Rule Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
