Jack E. Schollaert, 81, of Powhatan, VA, formerly of Long Branch, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in St. Francis Medical Center, Midlothian, VA. A son of the late Frank and Ruth Blevins Schollaert, he was born in Monongahela on June 16, 1939. Formerly of Long Branch, Jack had been a resident of Virginia since 2007. He was a member of the New Walk Bible Church in Powhatan and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman and deer hunter. Jack retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen Plant, where he was an engineer for the Monessen Southwestern Railroad. He is survived by a son and daughter in-law, Patrick and Maggie Schollaert, with whom he made his home; a daughter, Suzanne Schollaert of Aliquippa; four grandchildren, Shea Malone, Tess Baker, Jacob Schollaert, and Caroline Schollaert; two great grandchildren, Jeremiah Schollaert and Sullivan Charles Malone; a sister, Peg Tomayko of Rostraver; and two brothers, Frank Schollaert of Rostraver and Thomas Schollaert of Knoxsville, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Joy McCall Schollaert on September 15, 2015.
