Jack C.Lessman of 404 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;died Friday;Jan.4;1985;at 5:20 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 65. Mr.lessman was born Nov.11;1919;in Charleroi;a son of the late Eugene and Hatti Lessman. He was a retired employee of the Allenport Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr.Lessman;who was Protestant by faith;had resided in the Charleroi area his entire lifetime. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. Mr.Lessman was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 167 and American Legion Post 22;both of Charleroi. Surviving are his wife;Mabel Kistler Lessman;at home;five sons;Curtis and Wayne Lessman;both of Charleroi;Jack Lessman of Somerset;Pa.;Douglas Lessman of Monessen;and Richard Lessman;at home;one daughter;Mrs.Dorothy Schrum;of the State of Ohio;nine grandchildren;two brothers;Dale Lessman of the State of Maryland and Edgar Lessman of the State of Ohio;and one sister;Mildred Reno;of Charleroi. Friends will be received in the Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home;819 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home;with the Rev.Jack Brownlee;pastor;First Christian Church;Charleroi;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. The Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
