Jack A.Skekel;64;of 1009 Dunlap St.;Monessen;died Monday;Sept.26;1994;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. He was born Oct.11;1929;in Monessen;a son of Sally Nyrhinen Skekel;who survives;and the late Alex (Skek) Skekel. A graduate of Monessen High School;he is also a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had been employed at Peoples Gas Co.for 35 years before retiring. Mr.Skekel was a member of St.Paul Episopal Church of Monongahela. In addition to his mother;he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law;David A.and Donna Skekel of Thurmont;Md.;one grandsn;Matthew A.Skekel;and one sister;Mrs.John (Judith) Parks of South Park. In addition to his father;he was preceded in death by his wife;Jan Lazzari Skekel;and one sister;Gertrude Tretter. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home Wednesday at noon with the Rev.Walter Szymanski officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
