Obituary

In the passing of Mrs.Ivy Hardesty Miller Monday morning in her home on Speers street,Belle Vernon lost a life-long and highly esteemed resident. Mrs.Miller,who was the widow of the late Hillery Miller,also well-known in the community,had suffered for months with heart trouble and other complications. She was about 72 years of age. Three sons and one daughter survive,namely Thomas,Charles and Dora of town and Frances,engaged in missionary service in China,and 12 grandchildren. There are also one son and one daughter of Mr.Miller's by a former marriage,James Miller of Pittsburgh and Mrs.C.W.Cul of Leisenring. Mrs.Miller is survived by three brothers,Charles Hardesty of Greensburg,Alfred of Cleveland,O.,James of Greensburg,and one sister,Mrs.Arrie Burgan of Elyris,O. Funeral services were held in the home Wednesday afternoon with Rev. S.H.Jewell officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon cemetery.
