Obituary

Irwin C.Houseman,56,of 710 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,July 31,1967,at 7:55 p.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr.Houseman,who came to Belle Vernon 31 years ago from Fairhope,was employed in the oil well tubing department of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a member of Marion Pesbyterian Church,Fairhope,and American Legion Post 659,Belle Vernon. He was born in Rostraver Twp.,April 25,1911. Surviving are his widow,Virginia Fetkenous Houseman,a son,Rudy I.of Belle Vernon,one daughter,Cathy at home,his mother,Mrs.Tillie Anderson of Fairhope,three brothers,James W.of Fairhope,Clyde C.of Belle Vernon,Warren of Buena Park,Calif.,one granddaughter. His father,Clyde C.Houseman,is deceased. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Aug.1 at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Service there Thursday,Aug.3,at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.Richard B.Snyder,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Methodist Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director.
