Irene M. Shawley; 78; of North Belle Vernon; died Saturday; Sept. 24; 2005; in LaFayette Manor; Uniontown. A daughter of the late Milfred and Ruby Tustin Jones; she was born in Monessen on Aug. 30; 1927. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Shawley was a former employee of the Montgomery Wards store in Charleroi and Grants Department Store in Belle Vernon. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law; Nancy and Dale Turis of Perry Township; a son and daughter-in-law; Roland E. Jr. and Janet Shawley of Belle Vernon; a sister; Ruth Rosborough of Donora; a brother; Milfred Bud Jones of Florida; and five grandchildren; Scott Shawley and wife; Melissa; Jason Shawley and wife; Emily; Nicole Winterbottom and husband; Shuan; Jennifer Turis; and Dan Turis and wife; Leslie. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Roland E. Shawley Sr.; on May 22; 2001; and a brother; Ronald Jones. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 724-929-5300; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; where funeral services will be held Wednesday; Sept. 28; at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
