Irene M.Dohanich;68;of Fairhope;died on Thursday;Aug.24;1989;at 7:40 p.m. in Elder Crest Nursing Home at Munhall after a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington Twp.on Jan.25;1921;a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Butsman Hegedus. Mrs.Dohanich was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She was a member of St.Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Monessen. Survivors include her husband;George Dohanich;three daughters;Georgetta Burger of Monessen;Jean Ciliberti of Belle Vernon and Joan Dohanich of Vanderbilt;one sister;Bertha Astle of Detroit;Mich.;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday;Aug.28 at 9:15 a.m. followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St.Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church;Monessen;with Msgr.Andrew D.Parvensky;pastor;as celebrant. Interment will be at Belle Vernon Cemetery. A service for the dead will be on Sunday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
