Ira Rawlins,40,of Eldora, formerly of Monessen,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Tuesday, Jan. 14,1969 at 1:32 p.m. He was taken to the hospital Sunday morning. Born in Elizabeth, N.J. Feb. 8,1928,he spent his childhood in Monessen and moved to Eldora in 1958. Mr. Rawlins was a member of Wayman A.M.E. Church,Monessen,and was an employee of the Monessen Page Division of American Chain and Cable Co.,where he worked in the galvanizing department and was a shop steward. Surviving are his widow, Viola;the following children,Ira C.,Allan, Schlain and Lorraine,all at home; three brothers, Frank of Monessen, Robert of California state and Vernon of Monessen; a sister, Mrs. Howard (Alberta) Holmes of Monessen;his step-father,John Cox of Monessen,3 aunts,an uncle and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen,after 7 p.m. Jan. 16. Service at Wayman A.M.E. Church,Monesen,at 11 a.m.Saturday,Jan. 18,with the Rev. J.B.
