Iona Mae (Pascoe) Scanlon Michener; 93; of Belle Vernon; passed away on Tuesday; Oct. 25; 2011; in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Llewellyn and Margaret (Johnston) Pascoe; she was born on May 3; 1918; in Fayette City. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. Prior to retirement she was employed as a receptionist at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law; Marjorie and Matt Denitti; of Perryopolis; and Linda Colcek; of Charleroi; a stepson; George Myford Michener; of Belle Vernon; a brother and sister-in-law; Robert and Elvira Pascoe; of San Bruno; Calif.; a sister; Nancy Trombino; of Belle Vernon; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her first husband; Thomas Scanlon; her second husband; George Myford Michener; a son; Thomas Tucker Scanlon; a stepdaughter; Judith Michener; three brothers; James; Lewis and George Pascoe; and three sisters; Margaret Stanko; Doris McMillen and Janet Brandemarte.
