Inez W.Gaskill,87,of 715 Lewis Ave.,Speers Hill,died Wednesday,Sept.10,1997,in Havencrest Nursing Center,Carroll Township. Born Feb.16,1910,in Italy,she was a daughter of the late Alfredo and Joanna Bartolozzi Giorgi. Protestant by faith,she had spent most of her adult life in Speers. Mrs.Gaskill had worked at Rego's Restaurant in Charleroi for 32 years and formerly owned a restaurant in Monessen. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her first husband,Roy E.Walters,in 1963;and by a brother,Rego Giorgi. Survivors include her husband,John G.Gaskill;one son,Robert R.Walters of Westland,Mich.;one daughter,Barbara,wife of Dr.James Mendola of Dearborn,Mich.;one brother,Orland "Tito" Giorgi of Charleroi;four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friennds will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Charles K.Sowden officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
