Inez K.Witherspoon Patterson;63;of 101 Price St.Belle Vernon;who operated the Belle-Price Builders Supply on Broad Ave.;Extension;Belle Vernon with her husband;Thomas G.Patterson Sr.;since 1940; died Wednesday;Oct.26;1977 at 4:40 a.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Mrs. Patterson had been a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley and was a substitute teacher in the Belle Vernon Area School District. She was born in Gallatin on April 24;1914. Mrs. Patterosn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and the Regular Sunday School Class of the church. She also belonged to Belle Vernon Chapter No.196;Order of Eastern Star;American Association of Retired Persons and the Belle Vernon Women’s Club. Her father;George Witherspoon;preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband;Thomas G.Patterson Sr.;one daughter;Mrs.Richard (Joyce) Smith of Sweeney Plan;Rostraver Twp.;two sons;Thomas G.Patterson Jr.of Belle Vernon and Dale K.Patterson of Sweeney Plan;Rostraver Twp.;her mother;Mrs.Rebecca Richardson Witherspoon of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Emma Mae Revetta of Monongahela and Mrs.Irma Roman of Midland;one brother;George Witherspoon of Monongahela;and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.William D.Morgan of Fells United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon Chapter;Order of Eastern Star;will conduct services Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
