da Mae (Farmer) Allums, 85, of Monessen passed away November 5, 2025. Ida was born June 26, 1940 in Springfield, TN, a daughter of the late Booker T. and Beatrice (Jones) Farmer. Ida attended Monessen High School and later she was employed at Mayview State Hospital. She was a longtime member of the Monessen OAKY Elks Lodge #697, she was a lady with a huge heart who was always willing to help anyone. She was known for wanting to feed everybody and was greatly loved by anyone who met her.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Booker T. and Beatrice; three brothers, John (LaVone), William (Betty), and Thomas (Lilly-Wilda); two daughters, Dana (Darryl), Arnold and Beatrice Allums. She is survived by two sons, William (Don) Farmer and Virgil (Bim) Allums; six grandchildren, LaTonda, Darryl (Holly), Marcus, LaToya, Tyneil Sr. and Isiah Sr.; eight great-grandchildren, Greg (Peanut), Zy'Teira, Aalaiya, Raymoria, Dana, Tyneil Jr., Gianna, Isaiah Jr.; four nephews, Thomas, Donniel, Darrin and William Jr.; two nieces, Pamela and Brooke; great-niece, Channeil, who helped her; and two very close family friends, Cherie Russell and Ebony (Goins) Hall.
A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Nov. 12, 2025 with funeral service at 12 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, Bishop Karl Jackson, officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. 724-379-5420.
