Mrs. Ida M. Niemela. aged 79 years, 126 State street, Speers, died Saturday morning, Sept. 1,1956,at 1:08 a.m. at her home. she was born in Tampere, Finland on Aug. 19,1877. A member of St.Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monessen,she was peceded in death by her husband,Charles K. Niemela, on July 12,1951. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Henry,at home,Oliver of Fairhope, Charles of Speers, John of Lynnwood,Everett of Ben Avon,Pittsburgh,Elizabeth at home,Mrs. Paul (Eva) Passoja of Monessen, Mrs. Reginald (Ida) Hancock of Virginia Manor, Pittsburgh,Mrs. Ellis (Helen) Sphar of Charleroi and Mrs. Joseph (Elsa) Connell of Upper St. Clair,Pittsburgh. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Avenue,Belle Vernon,after 7 o'clock Saturday evening. On Monday morning the body will be removed to St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monessen,where the remains will lie in state from 11 o'clock until 2 p.m.,the time of funeral services. Rev. Karl Wilkman, pastor of S. Luke's, will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
