Mrs.Ida Gray Siple of Monessen died Wednesday;Oct.20;1982;at 3:10 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital after a short illness.  Born in Monessen and a resident of Monessen all of her life;Mrs.Siple was a daughter of the late William and Ida Male Gray.   A graduate of Monessen High School and California State College;Mrs.Siple had taught for many years in the Monessen School District prior to her retirement 12 years ago.  She was preceded in death by her husband;Benjamin F.Siple;in 1978;and by three brothers;Raymond;William and Oliver Gray.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and it Fellowship Class and Women’s Society;Order of Easter Star No.205;both of Monessen;and the Retired teachers of Monessen.  Surviving are two sons;Barry Siple of Wilmington;Del.;and Robert Siple of Chesterton;Ind.;four grandchildren;and two sisters;Mrs.Casmere (Ruth) Alexander of Charleroi and Mrs.Nellie Plymire of Valparaiso;Ind.  Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m.in the chapel of the funeral home;with the Rev.Kenneth J.Peters;pastor;First United Methodist Church;Monessen;offficiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Contributions in Mrs.Siple’s memory may be made through the funeral home to the United Methodist Church.  The Rhome Funeral Home;inc.is in charge of arrangements.
