Obituary

Ida B. James Johnson of Monongahela died Monday, Oct. 3,1994, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born in Birmingham, Ala., she was a daughter of the late Roy and Rosetta Carpenter. Mrs. Johnson was retired from West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Donora, where she had been Sunday School superintendent and a member of the Senior Usher Board, United Choir, Carrie B. Hill Mission and Deaconness Board. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, William, Daniel and Cleo Carpenter. Survivors include one daughter, Karen Ross Duncan of Chino, Calif, two sons, Keith E. James of Rockford, Ill., and Eric James of Monongahela, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren: and two sisters, Viola Rawlins of Monongahela and Arwilda Mathis of Monessen. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the St. Paul Baptist Church, McKean Avenue, Donora,where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Richard Wingfield officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
