Death at 8 o'clock Saturday morning,December 20,1930,removed a pioneer citizen of the community when Hypolite Mathieu succumbed following a stroke, at his home,502 Third street. The deceased was born at Rochesaboule,France on February 22,1884,and came to this country shortly after his marriage to Victoria Rieu. He located in this city 18 years ago and for a time conducted a small store on Third street. Besides his widow,two sons,Maurice and Alphonse survive. Funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment following in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
