Obituary

Howard S. Kimball of Stahlstown R.D.1 died suddenly Wednesday,Aug.23,1978 at 7 p.m. in H.C. Frick Memorial Hospital,Mt. Pleasant.  He was 59.  Mr. Kimball was born Aug.19,1919 in Belle Vernon,a son of the late John and Elsie Robinson Kimball. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,F.&A.M.Lodge 638,Monessen,and Fort Ligonier V.F.W. Post 734.  A veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy,he was retired from the Page Plant of American Chain and Cable Co.,Monessen,in 1968 due to illness. He lived in Stahlstown for 10 years having been a resident of Belle Vernon prior to that time. Survivors include his widow,Hazel Patton Kimball;one son,John W. Kimball of Donora;and daughter,Mrs. James (Ocie) Teska of Belle Vernon,and three grandchildren,Stanley H. Kimball,James Teska III,and Ocie Danielle Teska. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a brother,Walter,in 1949,and a sister,Corinne Allen, in 1975. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor R. Dawson Hopson of the First United Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
