Howard O. Boord,of 104 Meadow avenue,Charleroi,died of a heart attack,Tuesday, Jan. 22,1957 at 4:30 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Born Dec. 31,1902,in Monessen,he was employed as an adjustor in the Fabric Department of the local Pittsburgh Steel Co.plant for the past 41 years. A member of St.Mary's Episcopal Church of Charleroi,he moved to Charleroi from Belle Vernon in 1947. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marcine Smith Boord;two daughters, Mrs. John B.G. (Fay) Roberts,Jr.,of Aliquippa and Mrs. Ross (Lola) Russells,of Industry,Pa.;five brothers, James, Walter,Harold and Melvin,all of Monessen and Warren of West Newton; three sisters, Mrs. Clement Pireaux of Monongahela R.D.,Mrs. Anthony Tesy of Roscoe and Mrs. Mario Bonitati of Charleroi R.D.. Four grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received by the family during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at the Harold L. Schrock Funeral Home. Services will be held in St. Mary's Episcopal Church Friday, January 25,at 11 a.m. Rev. Joseph Wittkofski will be in charge,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L. Schrock is the funeral director.
