Howard M. Higgins,Belle Vernon R.D.1, Fellsburg,died suddenly Monday morning,July 19,1954 at 12:45 o'clock in Charleroi-Monessen hospital,where he had been admitted as a patient on Friday evening. He was born in Rochester,Pa.,and had spent his entire lifetime in this vicinity. He had served as employment clerk in the personnel office of the American Steel and Wire Co.,Donora plant for the past 13 years,and was a member of the F.O.E.,Donora. Survivng are his wife Mrs. Mercedes Higgins; a son, Warren,with the U.S. Air Force,stationed in Korea; a daughter, Carole,at home; a brother, John Higgins,of Monessen;two sisters, Alice and Carolyn Higgins,both of Monessen. Friends are being received at the Lawson Funeral Home,Thompson avenue, Donora,where funeral services will be held Thursday,July 22,at 2 p.m.,with Rev. W.S. Van Ryn,of the Fells Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Richard E. Lawson,funeral director.
