Howard L. Red West; 84; of Belle Vernon; died in his home Monday; Sept. 30; 2013. A son of the late Rev. Samuel E. and Alma G. Paulson West; he was born in East Liverpool; Ohio. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; he had attended the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years; Susan A. West; who passed away on April 13; 2009; brothers; Paul; Oliver; Charlie and Bob West. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Arthur and his wife; Terry; of Palmetto; Fla.; and Alan West and his wife; Monica; of Morriston; Fla.; a grandson; Arthur West Jr. and his wife; Debbie; of Altoona; two great-grandchildren; Coulton and Savannah West; siblings; Sarah Wilbraham of McDonald; Rev. James Ray West and his wife; Betty; of Normalville; Rev. David L. West and his wife; Martha; of Marion; Mich.; and Dorothy Williams of Star Junction; as well as many nieces and nephews.
