Born Oct. 21; 1917; in West
Newton; he was the son of the
late Hobart and Nina Cruthers
Clegg Sr.
Mr. Clegg had lived in Belle
Vernon the past three years;
having formerly resided in Perryopolis
and the state of
Virginia.
He was a member of First
Christian Church; Belle Vernon;
the Belle Vernon American
Legion and the Perryopolis
Moose Lodge.
A U.S. Army Air Force
veteran of World War II; Mr
Clegg worked as a civilian
employee as a copy writer and
editor for the U.S. Army before
he retired in 1980.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
wife; Ruth Peach Clegg.
Surviving are one son; Joseph
H. Clegg of Columbus; Ohio; one
grandson; William Clegg of Columbus;
one brother and sister-in-
law; Carl and Clara Clegg of
Belle Vernon; and one sister;
Mildred Kostella of Perryopolis

Friends were received Monday
until 2 p.m. in the Ferguson
Funeral Home Inc.; 700 Broad
Ave.; Belle Vernon; when services
were held with the Rev
Donald Bowers of First Christian
Church; Belle Vernon; officiating.
Interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
