Obituary

Hiram Albright,a resident of Monessen for a period of 26 years,but living for some time past in Speers,died suddenly Sunday morning,January 17,1943,at his home,132 River Road. He had suffered of asthma for a number of years and contracted a severe cold last week which with the asthmatic condition caused his death.  While residing in Monessen,he was employed at the fabric department of the Pittsburgh Steel.  He was aged 56 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Agnes Albright and the following children:Hiram Jr.,and Agnes,at home,James Albright,of Speers,George Albright,of Pittsburgh,and Mrs. Clarence Duvall,of Carnegie.Also surviving are his mother,Mrs. Helen Albright,two sisters,Mrs. Hunter Wilson and Mrs. Ray Strickler,and a brother,Daniel Albright,all of Perryopolis. Another sister,Mrs. Walter Leitch died just four months ago yesterday,September 17,of last year.  Four grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,January 20,at 2 o'clock from the home with Rev. Lightwell,pastor of the Speers Methodist Church,officiating.  Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Ira D. Blair,Perryopolis,funeral director in charge.
