Obituary

Hippolyte (Paul) Brassart, 86, a former resident of Belle Vernon R.D.1,who lived at 319 Robinson St.Monessen,died Friday, Aug. 4,1948 at 5:40 a.m. at the home of his daughter following a brief illness. Mr. Brassart was born in France on Nov. 25,1891.  He was an employee of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.having retired as a plug turner from the automatic hot mill in 1958. Mr. Brassart was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Assenat Brassart in 1958,by a son, Jean Baptiste Brassart in 1972 and by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Pauline) Dziak of Monessen,with whom he made his home;three sons, Albert Brassart of Belle Vernon,Louis Brassart in the state of South Dakota and Fred Brassart of Elizabeth Twp.;11 grandchildren;two great-grandchildren;two brothers,Kiebert Brassart and Ferdinand Brassart, both of North Charleroi;five sisters, Mrs. Virginia Donnelly of Ellwood City,Mrs. Stephanie Herent of North Charleroi,Mrs. Suzanne Mouier in the state of Georgia,Mrs. Ida Gerard of North Charleroi and Mrs. George (Pauline) Komondor of Fisher Heights,Carroll Twp. and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,in Monessen after 2 p.m. Sunday where services will be held in the Rhome Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. on Monday with the Rev. John Huha,officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Rhome Funeral Home of Monessen, in charge.
