Hilda E. Sale of 1304 Grove Road, Lynchburg, Va., died Wednesday, July l, 1987, at 3:40 a.m. at her home. She was 79. Mrs. Sale was born April 19,1908, in Washington Township, a daughter of the late Philip and Clara Strenske Muir . She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, and was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, Uniontown. A former resident of Uniontown and Silver Spring, Md , she had moved to Lynchburg five years ago. Mrs. Sale was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, in 1966, and by a sister and a brother, Elizabeth and William Muir. Survivors include a son, Donald Sale of Lynchburg. Va : a daughter. Mrs. Leon (Janet) Kaltenbach, with whom she made her home; two sisters, Mrs William (Elsie) Mascara of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Mrs. Keith (Phyllis) Beckinger of Monongahela, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where services will be held Monday,July 6,at 10 a.m.with the Rev. David Brown,pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Uniontown,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
