Hiawatha Frezzell;39;of 125 Koslasky Dr.Belle Vernon died at 6:35 a.m.Wednesday May 23;1979;at Mon Valley Hospital following a long illness. He was born April 12;1940;in Monessen. He was employed at the Wheeling-Pittsburggh Steel Co.’s Allenport plant. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war;serving in the U.S.Air Force. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. Surviving are one son;Hiawatha Frezzell III;at home;his mother;Willie Jane Matthews Newberry;step-father;John H.Newberry;four sisters;Asentha Love;Islip;N.Y.;Jane Marie Scott;Detroit;Mich.;Dell White Donora;and Mary Ellen Bell;Gary;Ind.;seven aunts and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.Saturday at the Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev.Luther Womack officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Friends will be received at the William Taylor Funeral Home;Monessen;from 7 to 9 on Friday.
