An employee of the Pittsburgh Steel Co.plant for the past 25 years;the deceased had served in World War II;and was a member of the American Legion;Joseph H.Ford Post. Surviving are three sisters;Mrs.Alma Miller;with whom he made his home;Mrs.Bridget Gamble;of Selma;Ala.;and Mrs.Sallie Wallace;Chatanooga;Tenn.;a son;M.Sgt.Clifford White;with the U.S.Marine Corps;stationed in Oceanside;Calif.;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Carter Funeral Home;McMahan avenue;beginning at 1 p.m. on Jan.31;1954. Funeral home visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and from 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday;Feb.2;at 11 a.m.from the Union Baptist Church;with Rev.Boyd Hinton officiating.
