Herman Blick,72,of Webster,died in his home at 7 a.m. Tuesday,Nov. 14,1989. Born June 28,1917,in Webster,he was the son of the late Adolph and Augusta Washk Blick. Mr. Blick had been an electrician at the former Donora Zinc Works. He was also retired from U.S.Steel Corp.,Saxonburg plant. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church,Donora. He was past chief of Rostraver Township No.1 (Webster) Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Southwestern Chiefs Association.Surviving are his wife, Vivian Hickey Blick;two sons, Herman William Blick of Florissant,Miss.and William Thomas Blick of Irwin;three grandchildren,Pamela Blick Woley of Florissant and William Joseph Blick and Chad Thomas Blick,both of Irwin and one sister, Bertha Hutchison of Fairmont,W.Va. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the James A. Rabe Funeral Home,701 Thompson Ave.,Donora,where a Prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday,followed by additional services at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church,Donora,with the Rev. Charles L. Barber,pastor,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church,Donora. Arrangements are being handled by the James A. Rabe Funeral Home.
