Obituary

Herbert Springer Garrison,well known merchant of the Westside,Connellsville,died Thursday evening,December 3,1931,at his home,509 West Crawford avenue,after an illness of two years.  He was 59 years old,born in Belle Vernon,July 28,1872,son of the late Hannah M.and Wesley H.Garrison,of Belle Vernon.  He followed the trade of window glass blowing until he came to Connellsville twenty years ago and took over the leather store of his father-in-law,the late S.S.Myers of the Westside.  In 1901 he married Amelia M. Myers, who survives. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church and the Men's Bible class. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery with Dr. D. R. Graham officiating. By request flowers are to be omitted. Friends and relatives invited to view remains at Sims Funeral Parlar, body will lie in state there until the services Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. Funeral from Sims Chapel.
