Obituary

Herbert L.Solomon,36,of 942 Brown street,Belle Vernon,died in United States Veterans Hospital,University Drive,Pittsburgh,Sunday,July 3,1955,at 11:35 p.m. He was a veteran of World War Two,having served in the U.S.Army,and was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He is survived by his wife,Mary Solomon,one son,William,three daughters,Lauralee,Maryann and Carol Sue,all at home,his parents,Mr.and Mrs.William Baxley,four sisters,Evelyn Peitro of Philadelphia,Pauline Burke,Speers,Dorothy Fox of Speers and Dorothy Craven of Lyndon,Kansas. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home,during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.,until time for services on Thursday,July 7,1955,at 2 p.m.,with Rev.R.L.Tharpe of the Belle Vernon Community Church,in charge. Military rites will be in charge of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
