Herbert Flythe,64,of 1235 Morgan Ave.,Monessen,died Friday, Aug. 7,1964,at 10:05 a.m. at his late home after a short illness. Born March 12,1900 in Conway, N.C.,he came to Monessen in 1922. He was retired from the wire department of Pittsburgh Steel Co in 1960. A member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen, he served as a trustee. Surviving are his widow,Eleanor;two sons, Earl H. of New York City and John Q. with the U.S. Navy,Honolulu,Hawaii;two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Doris) Redwine of Monessen and Mrs. Eugene (Betty) McWilliams of Belle Vernon; a brother, Willie Flythe of Conway N. C.;a sister,Ms. Sarah Barrow of Norfolk, Va. and 9 grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen. Service at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen on Tuesday,Aug. 11,at 11 a.m. in charge of the Rev. E. Archie,pastor. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
