He was born Aug. 6; 1907; in
Belle Vernon; the son of the late
John L. and Elizabeth E.
(Smock) Evans Jr.
A life-long resident of the
Belle Vernon community; he
was a veteran of World War II
during which he -served in he
U.S. Army as a technical
sergeant.
He retired in ; 1972 from
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s
Allenport Plant where he was a
repairman in the mechanical
department.
He was preceded in death bythree brotners; John; Raymond
and Glenn Evans; and one
sister; Eva Belback.
He is survived by his wife;
Jennie DeFazio Evans; one
daughter; Lois Evans of Pittsburgh; one brother; Marion
Toots Evans of Belle Vernon;
three sisters; Mrs. Blanche
Kuhar of Charleroi; Mrs. Sarah
Hixon of Virginia Beach; Va.;
a nd Frances Evans of
Charleroi; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at
the Leonard J. Parzynski
Funeral Home; 626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A Blessing service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;Belle Vernon.
