Obituary
Henry Smith, 62,of 600 Locust St.,Monessen,died at 6:45 p.m.Monday,Oct. 23,1972,in Charleroi Division,Mon Valley Hospital,Inc.,following a lingering illness. Born Oct. 11,1910,he had resided in Monessen since 1941. The deceased was retired from the Open Hearth Department at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife,Mrs. Georgia Smith, on Oct. 8,1966. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Jolyn) Queen of Monongahela;four brothers, Joseph, Willie, Harry and Claude,all of Donora and three grandsons,Clifford,Lawrence and Henry. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Wednesdy and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Percy E. Law Funeral Home,1324 Meldon Ave.,Donora. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Monongahela with the Rev. E.D. Davis in charge. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
