Obituary

Henry Kissler,74,of 82 Pennsylvania Boulevard,Monessen,died in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh,Thursday,Sept.19,1968,at 9:30 p.m. Mr.Kissler,who was born in Jacobs Creek on Nov.12,1893,was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Monessen and was a life member of Monessen Volunteer Fire Co. No.1. A resident of Monessen since 1908,he was a turn foreman at the strip mill of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.before retiring in 1958. Surviving are his widow,Sophia Delbarre Kissler,a daughter,Mrs.Arthur G.(Henrietta) Given of Monessen,a grandson,Arthur Given of Monessen,two brothers,Charles of Monessen and Joseph of Fairhope,two sisters,Mrs.Martha Wylam of McMurray and Mrs.Catherine Guesser of Wilkinsburg. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home,Monessen,after 7 p.m. Sept.21. Service there Monday,Sept.23,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Donald Lash,pastor of Grace United Methodist Church of Monessen,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer is funeral director.
