Obituary

Henry James,72,of 250 Collinsburg Road, West Newton,died in McKeesport Hospital Sunday, Feb. 14,1965 at 1 a.m. after a short illness.  Born in Sumpton,S.C.,Oct. 10,1892,he came to Monessen in 1922. Mr. James retired from the wire mill of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. in 1958. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen.  Surviving are his widow, Helen;a daughter, Mrs. Theodore (Alberta) Dennis of Monessen; two step-daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Willa) Nichols of Ronca,Pa.,and Mrs. James (Colleen) Longcrier of Wilkinsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Conyers and Mrs. Maggie Maxwell of Paterson, N.J. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen.  Visiting hours will then be 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.  Funeral Wednesday,Feb. 17,at 11 a.m. in Union Baptist Church,Monessen.  The Rev. J.O. Neal,pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of West Newton,will officiate.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
