Henry Carter, 68,of 1041 Schoonmaker Ave., Monessen,died Thursday,April 18,1963 in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 3:20 p.m. Born in Lynchburg, Va.,on March 15,1895,he had been a Monesssen resident for the past 35 years. Mr. Carter had been employed in the open hearth of the Monessen plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his widow, Sarah,and a cousin,Mrs. Ossie Mae Clark of Monessen. Friends are being received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,April 20, in charge of the Rev. D.D. Chatman,pastor of the Union Baptist Church of Monessen. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
